We all know and love Nashville as Music City, where almost any variety of tunes can be found spilling from every doorstep– but that’s not all Nashville has to offer. That’s right- maybe the music scene is what made you book yo ur trip, but it’s the incredible culinary delights that will have you coming back for more. Luckily, you don’t have to choose between d elightful food and an incredible place to stay. When you stay with Hallson, where handcrafted luxury meets vibra nt local culture, you can have both. We invite you to explore Nashville not just as a visitor, but as a connoisseur of fine living and dining. Here’s a taste of what Nashville has to offer at three of our favorite local eateries, each just a hop and a skip from the comfort of your Hallson home away from home.

REDHEADED STRANGER

Tucked away in East Nashville, Redheaded Stranger is a local treasure that offers a twist on Southwestern flavors with a laid-back vibe that perfectly embodies the spirit of the neighborhood. Renowned for its tacos (the breakfast tacos are to die for) and green chile cheeseburgers, this eatery brings a touch of New Mexico to the heart of Tennessee. If you find yourself exploring the creative corners of East Nashville, pop into the Redheaded Stranger- trust us. You won't be disappointed.

Our orders:

Breakfast: BACON, SCRAMBLED EGGS, CHEDDAR CHEESE, TATER TOTS taco (pro tip- grab some hot sauce if you’re on the go!)

Lunch: . CHOPPED BRISKET, AMERICAN CHEESE, DR. PEPPER HOT SAUCE taco

Or the Veggie Crunch Wrap : GUACAMOLE, BLACK BEANS, REFRIED BEANS, PICO DE GALLO, JALAPEÑO HOT SAUCE, FRITOS, CHEDDAR CHEESE, WHIPPED FETA

THE IBERIAN PIG

Venture a little further into the sophistication of Nashville’s dining scene with The Iberian Pig. Specializing in Spanish cuisine and charcuterie, this restaurant in the bustling Midtown area is a must-visit for anyone who appreciates the art of fine food. Indulge in a selection of expertly crafted tapas, paired with a glass of top-tier Spanish wine, in an atmosphere that’s as inviting as it is elegant. The Iberian Pig is not just a meal; it's an experience. As for what to order? You can’t go wrong. We loved the bacon wrapped dates (B.W.D), zanahorias, and empanadas de carne. Select 2 or 3 tapas each and sharing the love. Enjoy!

FOLK

For those who lean towards a contemporary aesthetic and a menu that highlights local ingredients, Folk is the go-to destination. Located in the artistic enclave of McFerrin Park, this restaurant is a testament to Nashville’s innovative culinary spirit. Known for its wood-fired pizzas and an impressive list of natural wines, Folk offers a casual yet refined dining experience.

Our order:

To start: homemade warm focaccia (adding the whipped feta is a must)

If you want to cash in on the chef’s creative genius, we recommend the mussels or the beef taretare – but most people come for the pizzas. We love the classic with fresh mozzarella, basil and tomato (add on the hot honey, you can thank us later!)
